Top Wedding Stationery Trends for 2022
I will start this blog post with the preface of the Last Colour Down ethos being one of individuality, doing what YOU want for your wedding and what suits you and your partner. This means that I’m loathe to chat about trends! However, certain styles experience a rise in popularity in any given year, sometimes due to popular culture (think hit TV shows or films in the last year) or celebrity weddings, for example Mandy Moore’s Rodarte pink wedding dress in 2018, or Lily Collins Ralph Lauren lace cape from her 2021 wedding. So I’ve done the hard work and research for you, and collated the top 5 most predicted trends for 2022. Read on below to see if any of these catch your eye….
Top Wedding Stationery Trends for 2021
2021 is finally upon us! A new year and a fresh start, despite much of the world still battling COVID-19. One of my favourite things to do at the beginning of each year is to plan out my business goals and aspirations. Predicting what will be top of every couples’ wedding stationery wish list comes into this, while I plan new collections for the year and research for my custom clients. While trends tend to come and go, when compiling this list, I tried to choose trends that will have a lasting effect, instead of focusing on flash in the pan fads.
Your Ultimate Wedding Stationery Checklist
Planning a wedding is no easy feat. There are so many elements to consider and you are making big decisions weekly, that can greatly affect the day you want. On top of all that, this is probably the first time you are doing any of this! This means that research is a big part of every item you consider for your wedding day, and a big time-eater! The following blog post aims to give you back some of that time, when it comes to your wedding stationery. I’m laying it ALL out for you, every item of stationery that you may (or may not) need, what exactly it does, why you need it, and where it fits in your wedding timeline. I get asked a lot about what is needed in a wedding stationery suite and hopefully this guide will help you form a clearer picture of what you need to make your stationery unique to you.
Where to Start with your Wedding Stationery
Weddings can be overwhelming, especially when it comes to the smaller details such as your stationery. The choices are endless; wax seals, foiling, paper textures, colours, envelopes…it can all be a little confusing at times! This is why you should choose a wedding stationery designer that understands what you as a couple want and need from your big day.
Your Wedding Stationery and COVID-19
There has been many blogs and articles written about weddings and COVID-19 and how to go about postponing your wedding or changing the date. As a 2020 bride to be myself, I am also keeping a very close eye on these articles, and hoping that the restrictions will have been lifted by September! I thought I would write something here specifically about your wedding stationery, and how that relates to your potentially changed wedding day.
